Currently

See, I’m already getting off track on posting. Something I loved back in my consistent posting days was a “Currently” post! Maybe that will keep me more regular.

Reading: I just finished Book Lovers by Emily Henry and it was spicy! I have historically not read steamy beach reads but all the heavy books I’ve been reading have been wreaking havoc on my dreams so I’m intentionally choosing lighter things to read before bed. The overall story for this one was actually very good.

I typically read an audiobook, e-fiction, e-non-fiction and any kind of paper book at the same time and alternate. I tryyyyy to read paper books in front of the kids so they know I’m reading, but sometimes the e-book is too good and I choose to read it. I get most paper books from thrift stores and the rest from the Libby app through my library.

Listening – The Midnight Library by Matt Haig

Non-fiction – Hunt, Gather, Parent by Michaeleen Doucleff

Fiction – will start Homecoming by Kate Morton

Paper – A Walk in the Woods by Bill Bryson

Eating: I used to be obsessed with the cashew Caesar dressing from the Fridge Love cookbook (@hellonutritarian on IG) but then packed the book to move. I unpacked it and made it last week and am again obsessed. In addition to eating it in salads I’ve been dipping veggies in it at work and it’s just the best dressing ever.

Watching: Mike and Molly. Again going back to my dreams being so affected by everything recently, I can’t watch anything scary or negative! Having it be like an old-school laugh-track sitcom is just so calming. I don’t watch too much tv though, just a couple times a week. I love reading way more.

Exercising: this week I’ve just been tired and haven’t wanted to do much. I’ve been getting in my 30 minute lunch walks at work but did absolutely nothing outside this weekend. Wah.

Wanting: for spring to be here. I gave a valiant effort to love the snow this year and have been out more this winter than ever before in my life, but I am ready to garden, eat outside, have sunlight, etc,

Celebrating: my baby turning 9! Quite unbelievable. If you’re a birth nerd, you can read her birth story here. We had a small gathering at a pottery shop and the girls got to pick out some ceramic pieces to paint. It was super fun and they were all saying they wish they’d done that for their parties. I admit it was a nice break from all the parties at the roller rink (4 so far this year and another next weekend!).

Listening: Postmodern Jukebox! Vince and I went to their show on Monday and it was SO so so good. I will absolutely see them every time they come to town now and highly recommend seeing them if a tour stop is close by!
